If you’ve just tuned in, you are listening to a special UNIVERSAL NEWS BROADCAST. We are recapping the major past events, from Israel’s rebirth through the Tribulation and destruction of the world during the Battle of Armageddon.
The day was coming and did come soon that both the city of Rome and the Roman Catholic Church would be destroyed by the Antichrist. God sought to warn His people to come out of this city and church, because her sins reached to heaven. The day of the Lord’s vengeance against Rome and the Roman church was drawing near.
If we listen carefully to those caught in the Tribulation, we might hear something like this:
No church, no religion, no denomination that exists can saved anyone. No amount of good works can save any person.
God’s answer is this.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. There is none righteous, no not one. Only through the shed blood of Christ on the cross can a person’s sins be forgiven. So this was what a person needed to do to be raptured. This was what a person had to do during the Tribulation to be saved.
1-Believe on and receive Jesus Christ, Who is come in the flesh, as your only hope of salvation.
2-Repent of your sins.
3-After believing on Christ and repenting, be baptized by full immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost calling on the name of the Lord. (ref Acts 22:16)
4-Consume God’s Word, so your faith can grow. A person’s trust in Christ can only grow through God’s Word in the Bible. A thousand hours of stories about the Bible will not help a person’s faith grow one inch. God’s Word is more necessary than the food you put in your mouth.
5-Obey God’s Word. Obey God’s commandments. Deny yourself, and pick up your cross daily, and follow Jesus (which is the Word).
6-Be a living witness for Christ in both word and in deed, even though it may mean you will be killed for Christ. Help the brethren during the Tribulation, even though someone could betray you. And when the time comes in the Tribulation that you are severely tortured and your head is to be chopped off for Christ, let it be done, never denying Christ in any way. For the instant your head is taken, you will be with the Lord forever and ever.
Christ died for you. Will you die for Him?
We are currently looking back at the Tribulation, during the period of 2 months into the Tribulation, up to just before the midst of the Tribulation.
The Roman church, which is the Babylonian cult with a makeover or remodeled look, became exceedingly powerful, as its grip on both the people and leaders of the world grew.
Strange as it may seem, the Great Whore and the Antichrist both competed for men’s hearts and souls.
The people of the land of Israel continued to bury the dead bodies of the invasion troops for seven months. After seven months, men were employed, and the land was searched for more bones. This continued throughout the Tribulation to cleanse the land. When any person saw a man’s bone, he set a sign upon it, so the gravediggers could bury it in the valley of HAMON-GOG (or horde of Gog). There was also a town called Hamonah (meaning, its horde).
The weapons (or vehicles, and all sorts of equipment) of the dead soldiers provided fuel to be used for burning seven years, or for the entire length of the Tribulation, and beyond. Because of this, Israel did not need to take wood out of the fields or forests. Even though much of the trees of the world had been destroyed, yet Israel’s trees fared well.
As World War 3 had approached, there were over thirteen million Jews in the world; but many Jews had been killed, when Russia and its allies invaded Israel. More had been killed as both the United States and Russia partially destroyed each other. During that time, one out of every four people in the world had died.
Once the forces that invaded Israel were destroyed, those Jews that had not yet returned to Israel began to return from all over the world. They all returned. Even from the far away islands of the oceans, they came. The outcasts came from all four corners of the earth.
Israel became filled with the Jewish people. God brought them under the bond of the covenant. He refined them. He taught them and corrected them. Yet, many in Israel continued to do evil in the sight of the Lord and walked contrary to His ways. They continued with their witchcrafts, astrology, idols, vanity and alternate lifestyles. They provoked God with the work of their hands.
Of the vast Jewish population, two out of every three were cut off and died. One in three were left and brought through the fire, refined as silver and tried as gold. These called on the the name of the Lord, and said, THE LORD IS MY GOD.
There had been no “sacrifices and oblations” in Israel since approximately 70 A.D., when they were cut off by Titus. It is written, FOR THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL SHALL ABIDE MANY DAYS (a long time, many years)…WITHOUT A SACRIFICE-Hos 3:4. Once the Temple was rebuilt in Jerusalem, the “sacrifices and oblations” were reinstated.
Christians acknowledge that Jesus had already come. When He died, He said, IT IS FINISHED-Jn 19:30. The veil of the Temple in Jerusalem was torn. The sacrifices no longer meant anything, as Jesus had become the final and ultimate sacrifice for sin.
However, many Jews still did not acknowledge that Jesus was the Christ. They were still waiting for the Messiah to come. When the Antichrist came, those that were not following Jesus as the true Messiah began to follow the Antichrist. Jesus had foretold this, as it was written: IF ANOTHER SHALL COME IN HIS OWN NAME, HIM YE WILL RECEIVE-Jn 5:43.
During the first part of the Tribulation, construction of a new Temple began on the Temple Mount. Even before that, preparations for the Temple were being made, including the ashes of the red heifer, which the Lord had spoken of as a statute for ever. This all was in anticipation of the coming of the Messiah. Israel did not realize that it would be the Antichrist (or false Messiah) who would appear next.
During the shaking of the land, when Russia was in Israel, the Dome of the Rock became a nonfactor.
Over time, the new Temple became a reality. The sacrifices and oblations began toward the end of the first part of the Tribulation, and continued up to the time the Antichrist took over the Temple during the midst of the Tribulation.
The court that was outside the Temple was given to the Gentiles.
The events of the second part of the Tribulation were not expected to begin until 1260 days had passed after the CONFIRMATION OF THE COVENANT. However, the second part of the Tribulation began much earlier than expected.
Things were happening so fast, the newsmedia could barely keep up. It was as if years of major events were crammed together in a period of just a FEW DAYS.
Approximately 27 major events happened in about a two week period. About 18 of them occurred during the first few days of that period.
The world changed drastically during this short time, after the Antichrist was killed and came back to life.
The one the Scriptures had called the Antichrist—had been steadily gaining in popularity and power. He had been uniting the world. None were able to stand against him. All had given their power to him previously.
His rise to prominence was supernatural. He came in his own name. His position, power, and authority were given to him by Satan. One might recall what Satan had said to Jesus about 2000 years previously:
Mt 4:8-10; Lk 4:6,7-…THE DEVIL TAKETH HIM UP INTO AN EXCEEDING HIGH MOUNTAIN, AND SHEWETH HIM ALL THE KINGDOMS OF THE WORLD, AND THE GLORY OF THEM; AND SAITH UNTO HIM,…ALL THIS POWER WILL I GIVE THEE, AND THE GLORY OF THEM: FOR THAT IS DELIVERED UNTO ME; AND TO WHOMSOEVER I WILL I GIVE IT. IF THOU THEREFORE WILT WORSHIP ME, ALL SHALL BE THINE. THEN SAITH JESUS UNTO HIM, GET THEE HENCE, SATAN: FOR IT IS WRITTEN, THOU SHALT WORSHIP THE LORD THY GOD, AND HIM ONLY SHALT THOU SERVE. However, the Antichrist (the son of Satan) said yes to his father, the devil.
Then, just slightly more than 1260 days before the end of the Tribulation—
the Antichrist was killed with a wound in the head. This great world leader was dead. Most throughout the world could see this on their handheld and other communication devices and on television. The world was in shock. His dead body was seen around the world.
But then a miracle happened. The impossible happened. The deadly wound that he had was healed. He came back to life.
He then declared himself to be God, and moved into the rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem.
The people of the world were amazed, they were astonished. No one could deny he had come back to life and was totally healed.
People of the world worshipped Satan, which had given such power to the Antichrist, and they also worshipped the Antichrist. They ascribed to him deity. They followed the Antichrist. People said such things as, “Who is like this person, and who is able to make war against him? Who is able to kill him?”
The people were ignorant of the Scriptures, just as they were when the Rapture happened, and not one lukewarm Christian was taken.
As the Antichrist came back to life, a spirit came up from the Bottomless Pit to occupy his body. This spirit was once alive, but then was dead, and now was alive again in the Antichrist. Interestingly, Judas had been called the “son of perdition.”
Satan craved worship. He had said, in Isa 14:14-I WILL BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH. Satan had offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world, if He would fall down and worship him-ref Mt 4:9. Satan is the great counterfeit. He desires to have the worship that is only reserved for God the Father.
The Antichrist caused the sacrifices and oblations to cease.
The world accepted him as the Messiah that should come. The world believed on him. The world worshipped him.
He was given power to continue for 42 months (or 1260 days, or 3½ years).
THIS WAS THE MIDST OF THE TRIBULATION. From this point, there were 1260 days left until the Tribulation was over.
When the Tribulation did end, there was a very brief pause.
After this brief pause—the Battle of Armageddon exploded.
The Antichrist hated the God of heaven and blasphemed Him.
He acknowledged, glorified, and honored Satan with gifts.
The Antichrist was quick to seize, as strong as a bear, and had the pride of a lion. His father, Satan, gave him his power, his position, and great authority.
The False Prophet appeared gentle as a lamb, like a messenger of light, but spoke as a dragon. He came like one in sheep’s clothing, but when he spoke, it was as Satan spoke. He had the spirit of a devil.
He had all the power of the Antichrist.
He did great miracles, wonders, and miraculous signs.
By the miracles, he deceived the world.
He brought glory to the Antichrist.
He caused the people of the world to worship the Antichrist.
He made fire come down from the sky as people watched.
The entire earth was deceived, because of the great miracles that he had power to do.
The FALSE PROPHET told them that dwelled on the earth that they should make an image to honor the Antichrist.
The FALSE PROPHET had power to give life to the image that the people made. Satan possessed the body of the image.
It was the image (in other words, it was Satan) which spoke. The IMAGE caused all that would not worship the image—to be killed.
Also the FALSE PROPHET caused all to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads.
Anyone that would not receive the mark,
or the name of the Antichrist,
or the number of his name (that is, the number of the name of the Antichrist) (which was 666),
they could not buy or sell anything throughout the world.
It might be compared to a form of credit card. All transactions had to go through this.
It eliminated credit card theft.
It eliminated someone from stealing your credit card number.
It could not be duplicated.
It was a full-proof system to conduct all transactions of buying and selling. The world became a cashless society.
During the first part of the Tribulation, 144,000 male, virgin Jews had been evangelizing the earth. A huge number of people, who had never believed in Christ, committed their life to Him, as a result of their teaching and the miracle of God destroying the invading forces in Israel.
In addition, some that were left behind in the Rapture and had survived World War 3 also committed their life to Christ. Afterward, they went through many persecutions and hardships because of this. Some were imprisoned, falsely accused, beaten, and killed.
During the general time of the midst of the Tribulation, the 144,000 were redeemed (or ransomed, or purchased) from the earth and from among men and were before the throne of God on the heavenly Mt. Zion. They were the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. They were without fault before the throne of God. They had the Father’s name written on their foreheads.
At this same general time, Moses and Elijah appeared.
The everlasting Gospel was being brought forth to the entire earth. Among those things brought forth—was that people were to FEAR GOD AND GIVE GLORY TO HIM. WORSHIP HIM THAT MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH AND THE SEA AND THE FOUNTAINS OF WATERS.
At about the same time the Antichrist was killed and came back to life, two witnesses appeared that were sent from God. One was ELIJAH, as the Bible had clearly stated: BEHOLD, I WILL SEND YOU ELIJAH THE PROPHET BEFORE THE COMING OF THE GREAT AND DREADFUL DAY OF THE LORD (which is Armageddon): AND HE SHALL TURN THE HEART OF THE FATHERS TO THE CHILDREN, AND THE HEART OF THE CHILDREN TO THEIR FATHERS, LEST I COME AND SMITE THE EARTH WITH A CURSE-Mal 4:5,6. The “great and dreadful day of the Lord” was the day Jesus Christ returned. It was the time of the Battle of Armageddon. Before that day, Elijah did, indeed, come. This was also taught in the Passover feast, as the youngest child was taught to go and look for the prophet.
Elijah never died. He was taken up by God in a whirlwind (or raptured); as it is written, WHEN THE LORD WOULD TAKE UP ELIJAH INTO HEAVEN BY A WHIRLWIND-2 Ki 2:1; ELIJAH WENT UP BY A WHIRLWIND INTO HEAVEN-2 Ki 2:11.
Some might have doubted Elijah was the one that did come. They might say: didn't Elijah already come when Jesus was on the earth about 2000 years ago? The answer to this was as follows. Let us remember, there were two comings of the Lord. The second is at the time of Armageddon.
JOHN THE BAPTIST came before Jesus IN THE SPIRIT AND POWER OF ELIJAH-Lk 1:17. The disciples asked Jesus, WHY THEN SAY THE SCRIBES THAT ELIJAH MUST FIRST COME? JESUS ANSWERED...ELIJAH TRULY SHALL FIRST COME, AND RESTORE ALL THINGS. BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, THAT ELIJAH IS COME ALREADY, AND THEY KNEW HIM NOT, BUT HAVE DONE UNTO HIM WHATSOEVER THEY LISTED...THEN THE DISCIPLES UNDERSTOOD THAT HE SPAKE UNTO THEM OF JOHN THE BAPTIST-Mt 17:10-13.
The Scriptures clearly showed that John the Baptist came in the SPIRIT AND POWER OF ELIJAH. He had to prepare the way for the first coming of Jesus. The Jews were unable to see that the Scriptures showed Jesus would come twice. Only after Jesus ascended to sit at the right hand of His Father, in heaven, was it understood that Jesus shall return. It is written, BEHOLD, I WILL SEND YOU ELIJAH THE PROPHET BEFORE THE COMING OF THE GREAT AND DREADFUL DAY OF THE LORD-Mal 4:5. Elijah will come in his own body as one of the two witnesses.
John the Baptist came in the “SPIRIT” of Elijah.
Elijah will come in his own body and in his own SPIRIT. You might then say, “How is this possible? Did Elijah have two spirits?” The answer lies in the following. It is written, AND ELISHA SAID, I PRAY THEE, LET A DOUBLE PORTION OF THY SPIRIT BE UPON ME. AND HE (Elijah) SAID...IF THOU SEE ME WHEN I AM TAKEN FROM THEE, IT SHALL BE SO UNTO THEE...AND ELIJAH WENT UP...AND ELISHA SAW IT-2 Ki 2:9-12. There was a double portion of Elijah’s spirit.
John the Baptist was “one portion.”
The other portion was when Elijah came around the same time as the Antichrist claimed he was God. He continued for 1260 days which was just before Armageddon exploded.
The other witness that came was the same that had appeared to Jesus on the high mountain. It was MOSES, and ELIJAH was there also.
When Moses died, the Bible tells us that his natural force was not abated. It is written, AND MOSES WAS AN HUNDRED AND TWENTY YEARS OLD WHEN HE DIED: HIS EYE WAS NOT DIM, NOR HIS NATURAL FORCE ABATED (or gone)-Deut 34:7.
Moses had his natural body when he returned during the Tribulation.
This is why Satan wanted to find out where his body was. Satan knew who the second witness would be. Apparently, he wanted to destroy the body of Moses as this would have prevented Moses from returning. Nevertheless, no man knows where it is.
As it was written, YET MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL, WHEN CONTENDING WITH THE DEVIL…ABOUT THE BODY OF MOSES-Jude 9; SO MOSES...DIED...AND HE (the Lord) BURIED HIM...BUT NO MAN KNOWETH OF HIS SEPULCHER UNTO THIS DAY-Deut 34:5,6. It seems God is protecting the body of Moses so that, when the day comes, Moses will appear. God demonstrated how He kept things from decaying or growing old; as it is written, THY RAIMENT WAXED NOT OLD UPON THEE, NEITHER DID THY FOOT SWELL, THESE FORTY YEARS-Deut 8:4.
Moses wanted to enter the Promised Land, but God told him no. Yet God did allow him to enter Israel, but during the Tribulation. It is written, AND I BESOUGHT THE LORD AT THAT TIME, SAYING, O LORD GOD...I PRAY THEE, LET ME GO OVER, AND SEE THE GOOD LAND THAT IS BEYOND JORDAN...BUT THE LORD WAS WROTH WITH ME FOR YOUR SAKES, AND WOULD NOT HEAR ME: AND THE LORD SAID UNTO ME, LET IT SUFFICE THEE; SPEAK NO MORE UNTO ME OF THIS MATTER-Deut 3:23,25,26.
The two witnesses were both Jews (or olive branches-Zech 4:12)(or olive trees), as it was written of them.
THESE ARE THE TWO OLIVE TREES, AND THE TWO CANDLESTICKS STANDING BEFORE THE GOD OF THE EARTH-Rev 11:4. The olive tree represents the Jews or Israel; as it is written, THE LORD CALLED THY NAME, A GREEN OLIVE TREE-Jere 11:16.
Many of the miracles that were done, during the Tribulation, by the two witnesses were also done by Moses previously.
Some (mostly Gentiles) had thought that one of the two witnesses would be Enoch, who lived before the flood and was raptured or taken and did not see death; but he was not a Jew.
These two olive trees, Moses and Elijah, could not be killed for 1260 days—the length of their ministry. They brought many plagues and judgments upon the earth, even upon the seat of the Antichrist.
Many tried to kill them. Anyone that tried to kill them was killed by fire.
