BIBLE PROPHECY - The Tribulation In Detail

THE UNIVERSAL NEWS BROADCAST-Part 21

If you’ve just tuned in, you are listening to a special UNIVERSAL NEWS BROADCAST. We are recapping the major past events, from Israel’s rebirth through the Tribulation and destruction of the world during the Battle of Armageddon.

THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON
AND THE ENTIRE PLANET

The battle at Judah, and then Jerusalem, had come first and was over.

The battle at Megiddo had followed. It was now over. The enemies of the Lord were no more.

The last part of the battle was the entire planet.

But in that day, the Lord held the right hand of those that were His, that is, those that had not taken the mark and worshipped the image. He helped them.

The wicked were reserved for the day of destruction. They were held for the day of wrath.
All those that had afflicted His people were devoured. Most died. Any that were left after Armageddon, soon faced the Judgment, after which they were cast into the lake of fire.

The Day of the Lord was as an oven. The proud and wicked were as stubble. They were burned up.
The wicked did not know the thoughts of the Lord. They did not understand His Word.
All of the enemies of God’s people were cut off.
Those that said: “Where is the Lord your God?”—such were trodden down as the filth in the streets. As the wicked had done to God’s people, so it was done to them. It was as if they had not existed.

The ways of the ungodly perished.
Those that were evil were cut off. They were gone. The righteous saw this happen. They rejoiced.
As said, there was no mercy from the Lord toward the wicked.
Those that hated Christ were terrified and fled from Him.
All of the wicked perished. They were destroyed They were rooted out. No one escaped.
All the adversaries of the Lord were broken in pieces, as the Lord thundered forth.
The sons of Belial were all thrust away.

Jesus had come with chariots like a whirlwind.

All the people and nations of the earth mourned.
THE GREAT DAY OF HIS WRATH HAD COME.

He made an end of those nations to which the Jews had been taken.

Jesus smote the earth with His Word. Out of His mouth went a sharp sword. With the rod of His mouth, they were destroyed. With the very breath of His lips, He slew the wicked.

In the oceans, there were super-submarines and ships with all kinds of advanced weapons.
Mankind was ready to try and destroy Jesus Christ and His armies wherever He went.

Throughout the world, the entire planet became as a winepress that was ripe for the harvest.
The people were as evil and wicked as was possible.
The Lord did tread the grapes, which were the people of the earth. Throughout the earth, the noise was loud.
As has already been said: the wrath of Christ was upon all nations. The people of the earth had committed an unforgivable sin: they had taken the mark and worshiped the beast and his image. The patience of Jesus had ended.

Jesus thrust in His sickle. The earth was reaped or harvested. From one end of the earth to the other, the people were cut down.

In the Day of the Lord, the weapons of the people were useless. There was no where to run or to seek protection. There was no place of refuge. There was only the certainty of a horrible death, and no hope of any kind to be delivered.

Volcanoes erupted all over the earth, producing great smoke.
 The entire earth trembled.
The foundations of the hills moved.
The mountains plunged into the sea. Jesus spoke, and the mountains moved.

The people of the world were tossed back and forth, like pieces of a potter’s vessel.

Consider the people’s fears before they died.
There was the overwhelming noise of resounding thunder and lightning flashing over and over and over again. Devastating earthquakes shook the earth, coupled with the roaring of fires, winds, and tidal waves. The destruction was catastrophic! There was no where to go and hide. There was no place of safety.

* With fire, the earth and people were burned.
The Lord with flaming fire took vengeance on them that did not obey the Gospel.
He came with flames of fire. He uttered His Word. A fire went before Him. He rained fire and brimstone on the wicked. He judged the earth. He burned His enemies and their vehicles.
He spoke, and fire went forth. His tongue was as a devouring fire. His fury was poured out like fire.
The foundations of the mountains were on fire. The mountains quaked, and the hills melted; and the rocks were thrown down.
All the earth was devoured with the fire of His jealousy. People were consumed, but they did not take it to heart. The earth was being cleansed. They were as the burning of lime. Who could endure the fierceness of His anger?

It was written, THE HEATHEN RAGED, THE KINGDOMS WERE MOVED: HE UTTERED HIS VOICE, THE EARTH MELTED-Ps 46:6. The earth changed.

Lightnings, coupled with thunderings, encircled the entire world.
These lit up the skies, from horizon to horizon.
The whole earth saw, and they trembled.

Oh, that man could have understood these things before they happened, and before they perished, but the hardness of their wicked heart prevented this!

Then huge hailstones fell from the sky, extremely great. Each weighed about 70 to 100 pounds. The few things left standing were now flattened by these huge blocks of ice. Buildings could not stand against this bombardment. Many blasphemed and cursed God, even as they were dying, because of the exceedingly great hail.

It was written in Job 38:22,23-HAST THOU SEEN THE TREASURES OF THE HAIL, WHICH I HAVE RESERVED AGAINST THE TIME OF TROUBLE, AGAINST THE DAY OF BATTLE AND WAR?
Isa 28:17-JUDGMENT ALSO WILL I LAY TO THE LINE, AND RIGHTEOUSNESS TO THE PLUMMET: AND THE HAIL SHALL SWEEP AWAY THE REFUGE OF LIES, AND THE WATERS SHALL OVERFLOW THE HIDING PLACE.

The fierceness of God’s wrath, against rebellion and sin made itself known.
Jesus had gone forth forth to trample the people throughout the earth, even as grapes trodden in a great winepress. Their blood was poured out like dust.

HUGE WIND STORMS

Great and grievous whirlwinds went forth all over the earth from the Lord. They went forth with fury, continuing whirlwinds that also arose from the coasts—hurricanes, tornadoes, monsoons, cyclones, and every form of windstorm exploded upon the scene and upon the heads of the wicked.

PEOPLE TRIED TO HIDE

People were terrified as these things were happening. They were terrified of the Lord and the splendor of His majesty.
They looked for a place to hide, a place of refuge. They did not understand the worst was yet to come.
Some ran to the rocks and to the holes in the ground. Some did flee to the caverns in the rocks, to the caves of the earth, and to the overhanging crags.
They had sinned. They now threw away their idols of gold and silver, which they had made to worship, to the rodents and bats.

The fierce anger of the Lord would not stop until He had finished, and until He had performed the intents of His heart. Even though the Lord is slow to anger and great in mercy, He will not at all acquit the wicked.
In the latter days, you shall consider it.

THE GREATEST EARTHQUAKE #4

Then it came—the fourth and greatest of all earthquakes, which began as Moses and Elijah had ascended up.

Jesus then shook the heavens and the earth, both the sea and the dry land.
And there were rumblings and thunders. Earthquakes appeared to be everywhere—but it was one earthquake.
It was the greatest and most violent earthquake the planet had ever experienced since man was created.
As already said, this was the 4th and last of the great earthquakes.

The entire planet shook. The earth rocked back and forth like a drunkard.
All over the earth, cities, towns, houses, and trees fell.

The nations of the world were shaken. The entire earth trembled, because the Lord was wroth. The foundations of the hills moved.
 Mountains plunged into the sea.
The mountains of the world that were left were swallowed up by the earthquake.

Jesus shook the earth terribly. The earthquake’s intensity was beyond measure. It affected the entire earth, both the dry land and the oceans.
There was no building, no mountain, no place to go to escape.
Jesus had taken hold of the ends of the earth, so that the wicked might be shaken out of it.
Great Babylon came into remembrance before God.
God determined to overthrow the kingdoms. He determined to destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen.

The cities of the world fell and disappeared.

The waters roared. The tidal waves were huge.

The mountains were no more. The Himalayan Mountains in Asia, the African mountains, the Alps in Europe, the Rocky Mountains in North America, and the Andes Mountains in South America, even all the mountains of the world were a thing of the past.

Every valley raised up. Plateaus took their place.

The planet was becoming much more level. The existence of the tall mountains on the earth was now over.
The crooked was made straight. The rough places were made plain.
Every tall building crumbled to the ground.
People were screaming and running, but there was no where to run.
The cities of the world were disappearing.
The oceans and lakes were out of control. Huge waves of water drove inland for hundreds of miles.
Every island on the planet disappeared. They ceased to exist.
* The kingdom of the Antichrist was destroyed.

We were reminded that God’s Word had said, Rev 15:4-WHO SHALL NOT FEAR THEE, O LORD.

In that day of the great slaughter, when the tall buildings crumbled to the ground, there were rivers and and streams of water on all the hills.

In that day, the Lord bound up and healed the wounds of the afflicted.

In that day, the earth was moved exceedingly and the light of the moon became much brighter. The light of the sun was seven times brighter like the light of seven full days.

The earth had been smitten. Only those protected by the Lord were able to endure the day that the Lord came.

In that day, the poles began to shift. This shift happened quickly.
The earth turned upside down. The earth was made a waste. Most people were killed, and the rest were scattered.

WORDS CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE ALL THAT HAPPENED

It bears repeating.
The noise, oh, the noise was loud! It was terrifying.
The earth had been shaking apart. It kept shaking and shaking.
It had been reeling back and forth like a drunkard.
There was no where to stand. There was no where to run.
The mountains had been crumbling. The valleys had been rising.
Smoke was in various places. Lava flows appeared in certain places, and some shot up into the air.
Buildings came smashing to the ground as the shaking continued.
Roads and sidewalks cracked and split apart.
It seemed like everywhere people were being swallowed up, as the very places were standing split open.
Wherever people were, there was screaming and crying and calls for help, but there was none to help.
Many were buried alive. Others were trapped under an avalanche of debris.
 Trees came crashing down.
 Huge hailstones continued to fall.
 Darkness was everywhere.
There were no lights. There was no electric power. That had all stopped some time ago.

Finally, after hours, the rumblings of the earth began to subside.
 The noise began to decrease.
 The shaking was slowly stopping.
 The earth was becoming quiet.
 The earth had changed.
 The earth was becoming peaceful.
 The dead were without number.
Many of the dead could not be found.

Finally, the people of the world were gathered.
There were two groups. One were those that had been protected by Jesus during this great catastrophe. We may call them the sheep.
The others were the wicked that had somehow survived. We may call them the goats.

The Judgment of the Nations was at hand.

THE OUTCOME OF MOAB, SHETH, EDOM, AND EGYPT

The corners of Moab were smitten.
The area of Moab was directly east of most of the Dead Sea. Its southern border was Edom.
Sheth was a chief of the Moabites. All the children of Sheth were destroyed.

Edom (or Idumea) became a desolate wilderness with no one passing through. It became the home of the owls and ravens. Its location was south of Judea and the Dead Sea. Its northern border was at the bottom of the Dead Sea.
Esau was the progenitor of the Edomites. He was the elder twin brother of Jacob. His offspring ceased to exist.

Egypt was also smitten, but not completely.

THE OUTCOME OF THE NATIONS TO WHICH ISRAEL HAD BEEN DRIVEN

Jesus was with the people of Israel. He destroyed and made a full end of all the nations to which He had driven Israel. He did not destroy Israel, but corrected them and did not let them go totally unpunished.

IN THE PAST

Before the Rapture had taken place, there were just a few Bible scholars that had understood these things, a very few. But they were mocked and laughed at.

During the Tribulation, the 144,000 had spoken of many things that were going to happen. Most mocked and laughed at them also.

During the second part of the Tribulation, Moses and Elijah had spoken of these things. They too were mocked and laughed at by most.

But then as these things were happening, there was not one voice mocking or laughing. There was screaming and terror. People were dying of sheer fear. Others were being buried alive. There was no safe place on the earth, except the places that Jesus had hid those that would repopulate the earth during the Millennium.

* The great winepress, the earth had been reaped.

* God’s enemies submitted.
The enemies of God submitted, because of the greatness of the power of God.
The works of God were terrible (or frightening). They were terrifying. God is greatly to be feared.
All had been broken into pieces and ground to powder. No trace could be found.
The Rock that was cut out, without hands, smote the image and brake and smashed it to pieces and ground it to powder. All kingdoms were totally consumed. The Rock (which is Jesus) shall stand forever. The iron and clay, the brass (or bronze), the clay, the silver, and the gold all were crushed. All traces of the past four kingdoms were broken to pieces. No trace was left. They became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors, and the wind carried them away. When Jesus was done, there was no trace of the EEC or the Roman Empire, or the Grecian, or the Medo-Persian, or the Babylonian Empire. However, the Rock, which is Jesus, became a great mountain.

As the Battle of Armageddon came to a close, there was little resemblance left of the earth as it was previously.

To the ends of the earth, the wicked were shaken out of it.
Rebellion upon the earth had been brought to an end in one day.
 The idols had been abolished.
The proud looks upon men’s faces were gone.
The people that had an attitude of me, myself, and I were dead.
Everything from the mountains to what was left of the trees was made low in the Day of the Lord.
 The valleys were raised.
But Jesus Christ was exalted in that Day.

THE WAR WAS OVER

The earth had transgressed the laws of God.
The earth had changed the statutes and broken the everlasting covenant; therefore, the curse had devoured.

The people of the earth were burned; few were left.
The earth—all joy was darkened.
The earth—fear, terror, and the pit awaited the inhabitants of the earth.

God’s enemies had submitted.
 The war had ceased.
Armageddon was over. It had lasted only one day.
Within one day, God’s enemies had submitted. The kingdoms of the Antichrist had been totally obliterated.
The people moved out of their holes like worms. They greatly feared.

A GREAT NUMBER OF PEOPLE WERE DEAD

The Lord filled the places with dead bodies. The slain of the Lord were many.
The number of dead bodies throughout the earth was catastrophic.
As a result of the Battle of Armageddon, the dead were from one end of the earth to the other.
No one cried over them. No one gathered them.
They were not be put in graves, but were dung upon the ground.
The birds were called to gather from around the world to eat the flesh of the dead bodies.
They were filled with their flesh.
Wherever the carcass was, there the eagles were gathered.

The inhabitants of the earth were burned. The number of people left alive was just a few.
It was so few that a child may write the number.
Indeed, if the Lord had not returned exactly when He did, no flesh would have been left alive.
Except that the Lord had left a very small remnant, the people would have been as Sodom and Gomorrah.

THOSE DAYS WERE SHORTENED

This subject has already been covered in detail.
The Rapture came exactly on the day of the fifth feast—the Feast of Trumpets.
 The Tribulation then followed.
The actual day of the return of Jesus was on the sixth feast—the Day of Atonement, which was the tenth day of the seventh month (on the Jewish calendar). This occurred when they looked upon Jesus, Whom they had pierced.
Regarding being shortened for the elect’s sake, it was shortened in such a way that the feast dates would be fulfilled perfectly; however, on an earlier year on the Jewish calendar.

If Jesus had not returned at the exact moment He did—indeed, if the Lord had not shortened those days: there should no flesh have be saved, but for the elect’s sake, whom He had chosen, those days were shortened.

THE EARTH AS A RESULT OF THE GREAT WAR

The names of the idols were cut off out of the land.

Egypt was afraid, because of the shaking of the land by the Lord.
Egypt. The Nile River became seven streams.
Egypt. The tongue of the Egyptian sea was destroyed and gone.

The earth had been emptied.
 The earth had been shaken.
The earth had gone back and forth like a drunkard.
 The earth had mourned.
The earth had moved a great deal.
The earth had moved like a drunkard.
The earth had moved out of her place.
The earth had swayed like a hut in the wind.
The earth had turned upside down.
  The earth—its face was ruined.
The earth—its hills had melted like wax.
 The earth—its islands were gone.
The earth was a different place.
 The earth was broken down.
 The earth was clean dissolved.
 The earth was desolate.
 The earth was devastated.
 The earth was emptied.
The earth was emptied and spoiled.
The earth was made a waste.
 The earth was made empty.
 The earth was melted.
The earth was shaken a great amount.
The earth was shaken out of its place.
 The earth was split asunder.
The earth—all the crooked was made straight.
The earth—all the rough places was made smooth.
 The earth—every city were gone
The earth—every hill was brought low.
The earth—every mountain and hill had been brought low.
 The earth—every valley was filled.
 The earth—its people faded away.
The earth—the channels of the sea appeared.
The earth—the channels of the waters were seen.
The earth—the city of Jerusalem was left desolate.
The earth—the crooked had been made straight.
The earth—the foundations of the earth had been discovered.
The earth—the foundations of the earth had been shaken.
 The earth—the land was spoiled.
 The earth—the mountains had departed.
 The earth—the mountains had disappeared.
The earth—the mountains had gone. Plateaus and rolling hills were in their place.
The earth—the rough ways had been made smooth.
 The earth—the towers had fallen.
The earth—they were afraid of the Lord.
The earth—upon every high hill, there were rivers and streams of water.
The earth—upon every high mountain, there were rivers and streams of water.

The earth—The scorners are gone. The mockers are gone. The unbelievers are gone. The contentious are gone. The doubters are gone. Those that liked to argue are gone. Those that did not like correction are gone. Those that thought of themselves as something special were gone. Those that were know-it-alls were gone. The wicked are gone. Their names are ceased for ever and ever. The cities of the wicked are destroyed. Their memorials are perished with them.
The humble remained. The meek remained. Those that loved God’s Word remained. Those that loved Jesus remained. Those that feared God remained.

The Judgment of the Nations was now at hand. The elect were gathered.
For one thousand years, Jesus would reign as the King of kings and Lord of lords. There was peace and love.

THOSE DESTROYED DURING THE GREAT BATTLE

The wicked fled, but there was no where to hide. They were as fuel for a burning fire. Those destroyed during the great battle included:

All that had taken the mark and worshipped the image.

those that despised Israel,
those that devoured (Israel or the saints),

all that did wickedly,
 the sinners,
 the sons of Belial,
 the ungodly,
 the evildoers,
 the transgressors,
 the proud,

Those that were destroyed also included:
 All that were God’s enemies,
 all that hated Jesus,
all the adversaries of the Lord,
those that were cursed of God, and that cursed God,
those that were incensed against God,
those that strove with the Lord,
those that said to others, “Where is the Lord, thy God?”

those that sanctified themselves, eating swine’s flesh and rats,
those that did not know God,
and those that did not obey the Gospel.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WICKED?

One might ask this question: what happened to the wicked?
The answer was that nearly all died in less than 24 hours. A few survived to face the Judgment of the Nations.

They were scattered and then killed.
 They ran, but died.
They were as stubble for the fire.
There was no root or branch of them left.

They were destroyed.
 They were broken to pieces.
They were as thorns that were thrust away.
They perished to the fiery torment.
 They were cut off.
 Their power was cut off.

They were consumed out of the earth.
 They were no more.
 They were confounded.
 They became as nothing.

They were trodden down in the street.
 They were devoured.
 They were threshed.
 They were beaten in pieces.
They were punished with everlasting destruction.

Jesus washed His feet in the blood of the wicked.
He (the Lord) was not merciful to the wicked in that Day.
 The Lord laughed at them.
 Jesus took vengeance on them.

I MAKE THINE ENEMIES
THY FOOTSTOOL

Jesus sat at the right hand of God the Father. He returned at the time of Armageddon.
All of God’s enemies were defeated. They were made His footstool. They were put under his feet. Sixteen times in the Scriptures the word “footstool” had been used.
This means to put a foot upon the neck of the defeated foe-ref Jos 10:24.

HE THAT ENDURED TO THE END SHALL BE SAVED

During the Tribulation, the people have gone through tremendous hardships.
The living conditions have been exceedingly difficult. The persecutions against the saints resulted in many being martyred. However, the saints that endured to the end and survived, never taking the mark or worshipping the image, these were saved. They entered into the Millennium.
It is was written, Mt 24:13-BUT HE THAT SHALL ENDURE UNTO THE END, THE SAME SHALL BE SAVED.
